The Naptime Diaries is harnessing the power of 3D printing technology to create engaging children's educational activities. This approach allows us to bring our creative ideas to life quickly and efficiently, ensuring that we can offer a wide range of educational products to support children's learning and development.
We use PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament which is a type of plastic made from renewable, plant-based materials like corn starch or sugarcane. Unlike traditional plastics that come from petroleum, PLA is derived from natural resources that can be replenished. This makes it a popular choice for 3D printing, especially for products designed for everyday use, education, and sensory play.
To care for PLA products, it’s best to keep them away from high heat, as they can soften or warp if exposed to temperatures above about 140°F (60°C). Clean them gently with mild soap and water, and avoid dishwashers or prolonged sun exposure. With proper care, PLA items are durable and can last a long time while maintaining their shape and quality.
