25 Free or Cheap Activities for Families During Christmas

I love everything about this time of the year! The weather, the music, the bad acting in hallmark movies, everything!! But, by far, my favorite part of this time of the year is all the opportunities to spend time with my family.

There’s nothing worse than getting through the holidays and realizing that you spent more time (and money) shopping than actually participating in the season.

But, let’s not get carried away. We are a ministry family, meaning that we love Jesus and we stick to a strict budget. So through the years we’ve found either free or inexpensive ways to spend time together.

  1. Visiting a “Cut -Your-Own-Tree” Farm (if you buy a live tree every year anyways)
  2. Making/painting Christmas ornaments
